Reverend Henry “Rex” Cole is a native Washingtonian and the Senior Pastor of Breath of Life Ministries, Inc. Christian Fellowship. He accepted his call into the ministry at Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church where he served as a Steward and Local Deacon. While at Reid Temple, he also served as the Youth Minister, President of the Richard Allen Youth Council, Minister to Senior Citizens at the Judiciary House, and was later appointed Director to Youth of the Capital District, Washington Annual Conference of the AME Church. He believed the Word of God and heard the call to “go ye therefore and preach the Gospel.” As a result, he accepted the call to pastor the historical Oak Grove Baptist Church in Madison, Virginia, where he served as Pastor from 1998-2003.

Reverend Renée Cole is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and more than a conqueror. She is the first lady of Breath of Life Ministries, Inc., Christian Fellowship, and serves, as well, as Assistant to the Pastor, Pastor of Worship, and Minister to Women. Reverend Renée is a native Washingtonian who graduated cum laude from Howard University and worked at IBM for many years. She accepted her call to ministry at Reid Temple A.M.E. Church, where with the leading of the Holy Ghost, she served as Minister to Women.

As a man of vision, Pastor Rex moves upon the leading of the Holy Spirit as he establishes, implements, and overseers many ministries and churches. Together with his wife, Reverend Renée, they are the founders of Breath of Life Ministries, Inc., based on Genesis 2:7, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.”

Pastor Rex is one of few pastors who has accepted the challenge to educate his church leadership on the dynamics of domestic and intimate partner violence, and thus, has become an advocate to encourage other pastors to take on the challenge and stance for zero tolerance of violence in their congregations.

Pastors Rex and Renée’s primary call to the ministry is to make a radical change in the lives of men, women and youth through the redemptive, healing, and delivering power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Together they have ministered to the needs of men and women through conferences and forums that have reconciled marriages, broken the silence of domestic abuse, and taught couples how they can live victorious lives as “one” in Christ.

Pastor Rex and Reverend Renée Cole are the parents of four: Russell, Brandon, Taylor, and Henry II (deceased). They are leaders and servants whose lives are dedicated to Christ as they are called to preach, teach, reach, and minister to the world, that others, also, may receive a Breath of Life.

Pastors Rex and Renée walk by faith and not by sight, and have purposed to live the Word and empower others to realize that “We are more than conquerors, through Him that loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
